Out of the Alligator Pond
As many of you know I've been "up to my tail in alligators" of late helpin' my buddy Wayne build his house. I made the mistake of letting him know I had some cabinetry skills. Oops! Well, I finally climbed out of said alligator pond recently. Here are some photos of the finished product. I'm pretty proud of the results, especially considering how long it's been since I've done any of this sort of thing...
For those wondering, the wood is hickory that I had pulled for a rustic look. Lots of knots and color swirls in it. If you don't like lookin' at wood I don't recommend this because it REALLY stands out and grabs your attention.
Note: 20 photos so this will take awhile to load on dial-up...

2 vanities in the bathrooms and a 5 foot base and 10 foot upper in the laundry room. Just a tiny little job! Paybacks will be a (you know what) when I draft him to help me with some of my projects!

Beautiful job Mike. Someday when my 50 kids grow up and move out and I am then rich, I will have nice cabinets like that , and no baby fingerprints to boot! I assume from Laura's comment these took a bit!

Longer than I care to think about. Luckily for me, Wayne has lots of construction related skills that I don't have and I plan on putting his butt to work on some of my upcoming stuff!!!
Thankjs for the kind words.
